It’s been forever since we’ve had a real R-Patz update, but I finally have some actual news worth posting. Robert Pattinson has officially signed on to star in Memoirs, a romantic drama centered on two lovers trying to hold it together while dealing with family tragedies. Emotional damage, incoming.

The film will be directed by Allen Coulter (Hollywoodland), and the script is getting a fresh rewrite by none other than Jenny Lumet, the powerhouse behind Rachel Getting Married, which is incredible.

Prepare yourselves, people. This might just be the broody post-Twilight role that shows off what Pattinson can really do.

The biggest surprise (not really) of all is that Summit Entertainment is going to lay down the cash to get this to a theater near you. Dollar, dollar, bill, Summit knows how to capitalize on Pattinson’s hungry fandom. Kudos to them. No word yet on who Rob’s love interest will be, but hopefully she won’t be harassed by fans. Justice for Kristen Stewart.

  1. he will be mine!

  2. Pattinson does look rather suspicious in that photo, like he’s always planning an escape. I smell possible Oscar nod for Pattinson as long as his character’s some sort of gigolo.

  3. Goddammit! I wanna wrap this guys head in saran wrap and push him in a lake. His hair looks super cool though….
