TMZ reports:

“Lindsay Lohan was such a pro on the set of “Eastbound & Down” … its star Danny McBride wants to take her talents with him … to a show he’s developing for HBO.

Sources told TMZ that while Lindsay Lohan was guest-starring on Eastbound & Down, she and Danny McBride (a.k.a. Kenny Powers) really hit it off. Danny was so impressed by her performance that he had several serious talks with her on set about a new project. He’s apparently keen on having her star in it.

The show is being developed by McBride and his producing partner, Jody Hill, and will have the same comedic vibe as Eastbound, but it’s set in a high school. According to our sources, Lindsay “loves the idea and is hoping it works out.”

Now, I’ll admit, I usually take anything from TMZ with a grain of salt, but I’m kind of hoping this one’s true. Unlike the gossip rags that thrive on Lindsay’s misfortunes, I’m really rooting for her to have a Robert Downey Jr.-esque comeback.
