My name is Desiree “Danger” Bowie. I am a film geek who grew up in the great city of Los Angeles. From a very young age, I was introduced to movies. While my classmates ate glue and played tetherball, I was inside pretending to be a cute extra on Sesame Street. Don’t get me wrong, I was not a 5-year old agoraphobe; I lived outside. Not literally. I just liked to play outside a lot. We weren’t that poor. In the day I explored, but every night I was transformed bit-by-bit into a mini-movie enthusiast. I learned to (shattily) skateboard when I was 8 because of TMNT. I pretended to be “Donatello” from “Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles” (Parts One and Two because Part Three was garbage). When I was playing baseball at 12, it was for the love of The Sandlot. Fast forward to 17 years of age when I contemplated starting my own Fight Club because it was in Tyler Durden that I trusted. I hope that you’ll enjoy my rantings about film, music and pop culture. Feel free to shoot me a compliment, complaint, challenge, or declaration of love.
